Jade is a stone that has enjoyed a long and rich history. In prehistoric times, it was used to make arms and tools, exploiting its exceptional toughness. Burma and China are the major sources of jade.
Because of jade's dramatic color, it was more highly valued than gold in pre-Columbian Central America. It was also used in religious ceremonies in ancient China and still is today.
Jade is thought to bring the wearer unconditional love, justice, and wisdom.
