Drawing from sights seen while snorkeling, Alan and Rosemary Bennett recreate their aquatic experiences with their ceramic fish art. Starting with sketches, the Bennetts’ begin to build the basic form of the fish in stoneware clay or porcelain.
They then expertly manipulate the surface of the fish, adding textural details and including porcelain eyes and teeth. Glaze is then applied in a myriad of techniques to bring these sea creatures to life.
